About
Established in 2014, the Kontakt Association is dedicated to the advancement and support of artists and the contemporary art scene in Romania and beyond. As a production and promotion platform, Kontakt brings the vision of the artists it represents or collaborates with to the forefront, and serves as a nurturing environment for modern cultural content creators.
Strategic partnership
In 2015 Kontakt forged a long-term partnership with Mobius Gallery. With Mobius curating a coherent exhibition program, Kontakt created an educational platform around it: artist discussions, lectures, and art catalogues, all connected to the core exhibitions.
Together
The partnership between Mobius Gallery and the Kontakt Association has established them as trailblazers in contemporary art from Romania and Eastern Europe, and a prominent, influential presence in the local cultural landscape.
Vision
We see art and culture as unifying forces with the potential to inspire change and foster community transformation. Our aim is to be a central hub for artists and educational projects, integrating production, promotion, and support.
Publications
Catalogues, art books, and biographies.
